April 2025: We start the year with wonderful news. Hjalmar Laudon et al, received funding to start the mega site Flakaliden.
We were in Southern Sweden, helping install sap flow sensors in the Rainfall exclusion project, led by Maartje Klapwijk. We also started measurements at our AquaBioX sites, where we have lost several trees, unfortunately…. -
Carl Wiking joined our group as a Masters student. He is working on radial profiles of thermal properties and stem water content. We have been doing a lot of tests on data collection algorithms and data analysis.

We are finalising out manuscript on stem water content. We are using thermal properties, and dielectric to estimate stem water content in living trees of pine, spruce and birch.
