Flakaliden research sites up and running!

Were have been installing nearly a hundred Tero 54 sensors.

We have been installing a large number of soil water potential sensor. Teros 22. So far, I like them. These sensors measure quite nicely between 0 and -10 kPa.

Intense field campaign to install hundreds of sensors distributed among 14 sites, and 28 weather stations.

We had the Honour to show His Majesty, The King, our work on tree water transport. BIOGEOMON26 happened. What a wonderful and nice experience!

BorealScat2 tree profile data is providing the first 3D estimates of tree water content.

We have spend lots of time finding additional sites for our Flakaliden project. We also got a manuscript linking tree water content and radar measurements.

March was an unusually hot year for Northern Scandinavia. It was the perfect time to start testing our various snow-melting techniques. We will report on snow-melting projects next year.

Our new manuscript on stem water content is out. We are also looking into ways to melt snow in the forest.
